The commands in the File menu are activated as appropriate. Besides reproducing the select, save and start buttons, there are also commands for saving, opening and starting new project files. An Avisplit Project File is useful when it is necessary to stop work midway through a particular action, such as making a clip. You can save a project file with the beginning point you have set for your clip, for instance, and return later to select the endpoint.
